Past Life Astrology for Present and Future

Welcome, Astro friends!

In my previous writing, we explored the topic of activating Chiron after the recent Lunar Eclipse. Chiron, also known as the Wounded Healer, is a celestial body with amazing healing energies. It's here to help us address any wounds that have come to light, and give us a chance to heal. It's a gentle wave of healing energy that we can all benefit from.

The placement of Chiron on our birth chart can reveal a great deal about our deepest wounds. Chiron represents the archetype of the wounded healer, and its placement in our chart can indicate the areas of our lives where we have experienced the most pain. These wounds may have been carried by our soul for multiple lifetimes, and they may be deeply ingrained in our subconscious.

Exploring the significance of Chiron's placement in our birth chart can be a valuable tool for personal growth and spiritual development. It's also a gift we can share with others. By understanding our own wounds, we can show compassion for others' wounds and help guide them on their own healing journey. This can also help us gain a deeper understanding of ourselves, our journey, and our karma and purpose in this lifetime. Moreover, as we work to heal our own wounds and support others in their healing, we can contribute to healing the wounds of the whole and collectively ascend to a higher consciousness.

So let's take a closer look at Chiron and how it can guide us towards healing and wholeness, shall we?

You may or may not resonate with the terms "Past Lives" and "Karma." However, for purpose of this post, let's assume that you do. Also, let’s establish that our wounds are directly linked to the karma we have carried from our past lives. Therefore, reflecting on our karmic past lives, which continue to influence our present life, is essential to start the journey of healing.

For me, exploring past lives always begins with the Node of Karma: South Node. I associate the South Node with a window into our past. Looking at the placement of the South Node in our natal chart is like looking through a window to the past and provides valuable insight into our past life experiences.

The sign that the South Node is in offers a glimpse into how we were and what we were doing in a past life, while the house that the South Node is in reveals the theme and where our past life took place. Examining the aspects that the South Node makes to other planets can also provide clues about other elements that were involved in our past life.

Once you examine the South Node, next, look to the opposite sign of Node of Fate: North Node. We are now looking into the future through the North Node window. It indicates our North Star, and what our soul is striving to achieve in this lifetime. By understanding the lessons and challenges associated with the North Node, we can work towards achieving our true potential and fulfilling our destiny.

Alternatively, we can place the South Node for the Ascendant and examine the chart in the deliberative houses technique. In this method, the sign with the South Node becomes the 1st house of the chart, representing the "self" of the past life. The fourth house from the first represents the past home and family, and opposite from the first represents marriage and partnerships, and so on.

Saturn, in addition to the South Node, can indicate past life karma. It may represent a lesson that we didn't completely learn in a past life, as well as the limitations we faced during that time.

Pluto can indicate past life trauma and fear, along with the 8th house. Evolutionary Astrologer Steven Forrest says that if something frightens us or makes us feel uncomfortable, then it's connected to the 8th house or Pluto.

On the other hand, the placement of Jupiter in our birth chart may indicate the good deeds we have done in past lives and the karmic credit that we can benefit from in this lifetime.

Also, planets in retrograde can offer insight into past life karma as well. Any planet in retrograde usually indicates that some events in a past life were so negative that the energy of the planet is suppressed. It's as if the planets are turned in the opposite way, attempting to avoid seeing these past traumatic events.

There's another intriguing concept called "Skipping Steps" that's an important component for examining our past lives and karma. You can read more about it in this article.

So, how can we go about telling the story of our karmic past lives? Evolutionary astrologer Steven Forrest has some guidance to offer. According to Forrest, the key is to balance intuition and imagination with the practical application of astrological symbols. Basically, we are just going to make up the story using our intuition and imagination. However, by using the chart as a guide, we can ensure that our story stays true to the facts of our karmic past.

To create a compelling narrative that accurately reflects our karmic journey, it's essential to draw on all available resources. This could mean examining our birth chart in detail, exploring one’s childhood and family history, or even delving into past life regression therapy. Also, our past lives often come into our dreams. If you have recurring dreams, it may be related to your past life. I often use tarot to delve deeper into the story. By combining these various sources of information, we can construct a rich and nuanced tale that captures the true essence of our karmic past.

And you know what? Exploring the mysteries of our past lives ultimately comes down to creating a fictional story. Evolutionary astrologer Steven Forrest encourages us to embrace creativity and explore different possibilities. He tells his clients, "I'm about to tell you a story about a past life of yours, and I want to make a very bold claim: the story is true. And I want to temper the claim with the observation that I'm going to invent all of the facts." By approaching this subject with curiosity and wonder, we can gain insights and revelations that will help us on our journey of self-discovery and healing.
